I ordered this desk to use as part of my home recording studio and its perfect. It's a great size if you have a laptop/desktop PC + speakers and external monitor, or something similar in size as part of your'e office set up. It came flat packed and well padded to protect the product. A couple of things I would advise - firstly, ensure you employ a buddy for half an hour to help you build it. It is fairly heavy and delicate to start, and the instructions encourage one to build it upside down, which means there is a fair amount of pressure on the top shelf initially. I wedged a couple of pillows underneath it to provide additional support and I was much happier building it then. You will need a hand flipping it over when it's ready to use too. Once it's flipped over, wow, a very good looking glass desk which I would urge others to buy. Very pleased.
Product Rating 5 Very good quality desk, James - 21 July 2010
The quality of this desk is brilliant. I wasn't expecting the glass to be as thick as it was so I am delighted with it. The height of the desk is perfect for an adult - there are so many desks out there that aren't tall enough and give you back pain because you're having to look down at the monitor - with this desk, the monitor is raised nicely and there is plenty of room for keyboard.

My only criticism is the instructions which are very basic and tell you to build it upside down. The problem is, you would be putting the entire weight of the desk on the top part of the desk (the monitor stand), which I wouldn't advise doing. Unfortunately, there isn't an alternative way to build it, so my tip is to use a few thick books to ensure that the main desk surface pressure is spread out when upside down. I built this on my own but ideally you need a hand to flip the desk up the right way once you have finished assembling, as it is very awkward and quite heavy to lift (due to the thickness of the quality glass). Great buy!
