We all get stressed. An accumulation of events will often end up in a person being stressed. So we must learn to get rid of our concerns from the previous day and concentrate completely on the current day to be the most productive.
When you get to work, take a few minutes just sitting at your office desk and take in 3 deep breathes slowly releasing each one. Try and visualize letting every concern and every problem begin to dissolve. You can deal with them at a later time. For now, you need to relax with the moment.
During the day, every time you start to feel stressed again, take a moment to sit alone undisturbed in your office chair, breathing deeply and thinking about an event that made you smile or something that you have got coming up which you are looking forward to.
Just because you are stressed does not mean you should stop eating or drinking. Even if you are having a quick drink of water at your office desk, keeping thirst at bay will relieve tiredness and make you feel revitalized again. Make sure you eat if you are hungry, don’t ignore hunger because it can add to stress and make you feel tired and lethargic. Again, even if it is a couple of biscuits whilst working at your computer desk it will make all the difference to your general overall energy and stress levels.
Limit salt, sugar, caffeine and alcohol in but drink plenty of clean, pure water each day.
During your lunch break, sit comfortably in your office chair and close your eyes, rest your mind and think about a relaxed place to be. Constrict and relax your muscles.
During the day as you are working at your office desk keep stretching your legs and occasionally standing up to keep the blood flowing.
