Projects, deadlines and meetings probably fill your mind at work each day, but do you consider your health? Though even if you really wanted to, our working days leave little time to work out, often we are sat at our office desks for long periods of time and lunch meetings  and fat filled vending machine make it more difficult to focus on staying fit. Here are some quick, simple tips to help you stay fit while still working.

Walk this way

Some simple changes can help add more walking distance to your everyday, giving you some extra calorie burning boosts. Parking further from the office will add extra steps, as will using a train or bus stop further from home. Increase your networking by adding some extra movement by getting up from your office chair and walking over to co-workers personally, asking or answering any questions rather than just e-mailing from your office desk.

Start packing

Stay away from the cafeteria, bring your own lunch and eat it at your office desk. Packing your lunch not only allows for healthier lunches but it saves you money.

Exercise whilst you email

There are some simple exercises you can do to increase your circulation and burn some extra pounds whilst sitting at your office desk. Whilst sat on your office chair, work your rear by squeezing the muscles in your buttocks and holding for 10 seconds, doing 10 repetitions. You can even do this whilst your computer is booting up or during a conference call.

Stretch your shoulders and neck periodically by rolling them. This will help keep good posture, and keep your joints and muscles from getting stiff whilst you are sitting in your office chair for hours on end. Leave a note on your office desk to remind you to keep doing this consistently throughout the day.
