Office Equipment and time saving in the office

We are so time precious these days that any time saving device whether at home or in the office is a welcome thing.

I spend much of my time feeling I have done simple things towards accomplishing my end goal but haven’t actually managed to achieve my main goal by the end of the day!

In the office where time constraints are tighter some great time saving devices should be taken into account:

Photocopiers
Why do we underestimate the simplicity of photocopiers, because we take them for granted because of their simplicity. You can print multiple copies of paper out on a printer but a photocopier is a far faster and more ink and money efficient way of doing it. If you have a photocopier and it has broken you realize how much you really relied on it!! A photocopier near your office desk in your home office or at work is a must.

Filling Cabinets / Systems
Whether a physical filling system or the filing system on your computer an ‘easy to understand’ carefully run filling system saves bags of time.  Try and keep your filling system/filling cabinet/computer desk within your office space easily accessible from your office chair. If you keep your filing on your computer use a back up disk and keep it in the top draw of your office desk in prime position for finding in case of any computer problems !!

Great Secretaries / staff
Having really good staff that you can delegate clearly to and trust to carry out the tasks you have set are the absolute key to freeing your time at management level.
