Higher Hierarchy in the office

If you have taken some time to stand back and review the office furniture situation in the office place then it could be quite an eye opener for you.

Much can be seen through the positioning of the office furniture in relation to the staff that uses it. Often the type of office chair that is owned by a person can be a sure give away as to how they either perceive themselves or others perceive them in the office.

Should a member of staff have acquired a leather office chair with arms and backrest then they are either pushy (!) or are of a higher position than their colleague who may be sat in the standard office chair without arms.

As you start to move through the office culture and new people join the organization you may start to find yourself promoted to the rich looking leather office chair that you have been eying up.

However, if you find yourself starting to slowly get demoted to the rickety office chair that is worse than the one you are sat in now – you need to start thinking about how other people view your position and importance in the office.

If you end up as the boss one day you will probably want to ensure that you have the swishiest of office chair and office furniture!
