It is a lesser known fact that feng shui in the workplace, whether it is at home or in an office outside your home can be extremely motivating psychologically. Not only does it help with motivation but it has also proven to promote higher productivity and better relations with co-workers.
One of the most important factors with feng shui is seating; sitting with your office chair and desk facing a wall immediately presents an unconscious barrier to improved work rate. In fact it is advised to have your office desk and chair facing the doorway if at all possible within the room you are working.
If the room prevents you from moving your office desk and chair to facing an open doorway, it is advisable to hang scenic pictures on the wall to which your office desk faces.
Clutter is also unproductive to working conditions. Computer desks, office desks and filing cabinets should all be kept tidy – a tidy desk is a tidy mind!
