Avoiding annoying distractions at work

We live every day with constant distraction in our lives and working in an office has a clear set of different distractions than working at home.
Distractions will always stop our ability of doing a good job and concentrating, but with a little will power and some common sense you can happily sit at your office desk with minimal disturbances throughout your working day if you follow some of these tips.

Keep your office desk as clear as possible and only have on it the items you are working on.  Make sure you have removed all office equipment from the office desk surface if they are not being used (they can be noisy and omit heat which is uncomfortable in the summer months).

Should you be allowed to, if you are part of a section of office desks that are linked up to each other you probably need to have the noise reduced around you and with the careful use of partitions it can limit noise and distractive sights.

Don’t sit in a corridor or a busy area that people pass through in the office but keep your office desk away from noise and people and near a window to enjoy the natural light which will help you concentrate.

If you usually eat your lunch at your office desk, get out of the habit and walk around, stretching your legs and allowing your body to move around and shake off any frustrations.
