A Larger Home Office

How many relevant items are sat on your office desk? Be strict with yourself if you are already cluttered and get rid of the items that don’t serve a purpose.

Should your home office allow it, maximising your office desk space will also be affected by your office desk shape.  A desk shaped as a ‘U’ (although your home office would have to be spacious already for this) and an ‘L’ shaped office desk (great for the corner of an office) are both great shapes to give you office desk worktop space because they allow you to sit into your desk and work on 2 or 3 office desk top surfaces at one time which is great for turning your office chair to face your computer on one side and turning back to your phone and paperwork on the other side of your office desk.

Keep the wiring tidy, not only are streams of computer and printer and phone wires untidy but they are also dangerous and anyone can trip and fall, not only this some of these people/animals may be mischievous enough to cause trouble purposely (my friend has a dog that constantly pulls her phone off her office desk because the wires trail across the floor).  Tucking wires under the carpet and fixing them to the back of your computer desk properly is ideal.
