While it may go against the traditional view of work, if you want to be successful in your chosen field then work should be fun. Nobody really wants to go somewhere every day only to be as miserable as sin because they are watching the clock all the time and longing for the day to end. We all have bad days at the office but if your bad days outnumber your good then the time has come to review your attitude and approach to work.

The fact is that the chairs you sit in and the way your office looks has a huge effect on how you feel about things and also on how others feel about you and your business. Try to keep your desk tidy or at least clear away any mess and dirty coffee cups at the end of each day, coming into that sort of mess is enough to upset anyone. Get some simple but bright prints for the walls of your office and make sure that the floor is clear of files and bits of screwed up paper. If you don’t have a team of cleaners then you should empty your rubbish bins on a regular basis. A little bit of effort can make being at work a far more enjoyable experience.
