When the time comes for a business to move to new premises, or for the old premises to be updated in line with the companies needs, what is often neglected is the flooring. Many think that office flooring doesn’t count for very much in the scheme of things, but they would be wrong. For example, some companies have found themselves at the wrong end of large compensation claims due to someone having an accident due the state of an office floor. Not all types of flooring are suitable for an office environment and some are positively hazardous. Having highly polished floors or cracked lino will be breaking health and safety regulations.
When refurbishing or moving to a new office space then you should consider the flooring as more important than the state of the walls. Non-slip, commercial rubber flooring is the best option and more likely to stand the stresses of desks, chairs and other items of office furniture being dragged across it. Visitors do notice things like floors and if the right stuff is underfoot then they are more likely to perceive your company as professional.
