If you are a company manager and in charge of the general office then you may have your own office where you see business colleagues and clients. The boss’s office really should look like the hub of the business so that when you do have visitors they will be impressed by your professionalism. It’s a fact that people make judgements on their first impressions of a person and a place, if you want them to have a good impression of you and your company then let your office speak for you.
Most bosses like to have an executive office chair. Not only are large leather chairs more comfortable and supportive than some other office chairs, they can also lend an air of authority to the person who sits in one. If you have a large chair then you should also have a large desk, you should also have plenty of storage space in your office. If there is enough room then try to have a separate seating area where you can be more relaxed with your visitors. Office furniture may not be your number one priority but it is important because people do take notice and use it to judge your level of professionalism.
