Take the Weight Off Your Clients’ Feet

Depending on the type of business that you have, you may experience a lot of foot traffic through your office due to the number of visitors. Too much foot traffic not only interferes with worker’s concentration, it also places limitations on your office layout and can limit the amount of space available.

One way to deal with an overload of foot traffic in your office is to have a designated reception area – you should try to do this even in a small to medium size office as it keeps extra traffic in a confined area. Online office furniture suppliers now take into account the fact that businesses have visitors and include reception furniture in their range.

Have a reception desk in your reception area as it gives an air of greater professionalism – it also means that the receptionist can direct the visitor to be seated while he or she contacts whoever the visitor has come to see. The reception area will therefore need some seating, if you only have one or two visitors at a time then this need not be extensive. When you have a reception area for your visitors, not only does it make them more comfortable, it also gives your business a greater air of professionalism while at the same time reducing foot traffic in your office.
