If you work in an office, no doubt you will be sat in the same position in your office chair for long periods of time and will have experienced the feelings of neck and back strain and tiredness.
Buying the right office furniture items from the start should take some serious thought because you should be considering these items as long term investments. With the wrong office desk or chair you will start to incur bad posture which leads to serious aches and strains.
When you are looking for a new office chair, consider the following:
Your office chair needs a back support to stop you from slouching and causing you lower back pain and shoulder pain. The contour of the back the chair should also fit well with the contour of your back.
Office chairs with foam padding provide more comfortable seating.
Your legs should be parallel to the ground and if you are small a foot stool is advised. An office chair that reclines will mean that you can change your sitting position regularly whilst staying supported.
Make sure your computer screen is placed on your office desk directly facing you at eye level so you keep your neck and head upright.
