A well run and properly organised office usually means that the whole of your business enterprise is well run and properly organised. Organising your office properly requires a lot of planning and forethought, there are even professional organisers who will help you do this if you don’t feel confident doing it alone. One important thing that you need to consider is storage, how are you going to make sure that essential documents are easy to access? These are all questions that you should try to answer before you actually get started on the physical aspects of organising your office.
Once you have done some initial planning you then need to consider the type of office furniture that will make organisation easier. If you are the company manager and you deal mostly with clients’ files then you may need to keep the most important and frequently used ones within arms reach of your desk. Some desks come with built in shelving on either side and this might be appropriate for you, otherwise you should have some shelving near to your desk. Make sure that you don’t have to stretch too far or stand on some other item of office furniture in order to access your files.
