Office furniture for healthy staff

A large number of us will sit at computer desks for over 8 hours a day from Monday to Friday, so it is no surprise that if we stay in the same position for so long we are going to become prone to backache, wrist injuries, eye strain and maybe even migraines.

The majority of us are so busy working that good posture is the last thing on our minds and often workers fail to adjust their office furniture to avoid future problems.  Workers can often end up staring downwards towards a computer screen from an office chair that has been set to high – this can incur the worst type of neck and back strain, your monitor must always be set at a higher level than you are sitting and should be completely level with your eyes.

The majority of companies nowadays are already aware of ergonomics and the issues there are surrounding office furniture and health at work, large organisations in particular are more likely to purchase office chairs and desks that are classed as ergonomic office furniture items because they understand that investing in their staff and reducing the amount of sickness and absenteeism at work will save them money in the long term.
