Whether your current lease has ended or better yet your business has
outgrown your current premises, moving office can be a very stressful
time. You can minimise this stress of moving your business by taking
note of some of the following issues.
When you get a new office it will most likely need to be laid out differently to the old one. Try to get there before you actually move in so that you have some idea where people and furniture should be placed. Getting a feel for the place will also help in deciding how the space can be made to work effectively. Make sure that the furniture you have and any new office furniture you may need are fit for the purpose. If you plan on redecorating your new space then keep it as neutral as possible, if you get too creative it may not do a lot for your professional image.
Make sure that there is plenty of storage in your office, and try to ensure that there is enough space on desks for your staff to store their daily paperwork. Finally, no office should be without a proper set of steps, it is dangerous to stand on desks and chairs to change light bulbs or reach high storage areas.
