If you have set up a home office the chances are you have done this so you have an office to work from at home and it is a place where you will be spending a lot of your time.

So you can look forward to at least eight hours a day in your office chair bent over your desk working away.  It is a good idea to make your home office as comfortable as possible, and, if you have the space, you would benefit from putting some small items of exercise equipment in there. Some people will even keep a change of clothes in their office and may even ensure that they eat at least one main meal a day whilst seated at their office desk.

So why not exercise in your office too? This is something that many people are starting to catch on to – keeping fit whilst you are working could help you concentrate better and will mean that endorphins released through exercise keep you feeling positive and optimistic which will also help in your work.

Keeping a gym mat in your home office for basic sit ups or press ups won’t take up any space at all and will ensure you get to stretch and exercise without leaving the room – exercise will alleviate boredom from repetitive work tasks, it will clear your mind and will stimulate your output and performance drastically when you are actually working at your office desk.
