There are a good many things that we do in the office which we would not dream of doing at home.
The work place sees us coming under pressure more often as individuals as we strive to meet deadlines and sort out work problems. This said there is a certain irrationality that happens to people when they are under pressure. Some of these will be familiar.
1) No one taking ownership of the incident involving the broken office furniture when a large group of people were seen to have been involved.
2) Hardly anyone at the office is wrong about anything.
3) Most Managing Director’s and CEO’s are hated because they don’t have a clue what is happening in the business from how the office furniture order is placed to how his departments are performing.
4) The divide between office furniture in the sales office and any other team is always larger than between any other department.
5) There is a huge divide between a salesman’s characters than any other character in any other department.
6) Sometimes you don’t know that there are IT people who work in the business because they are very quiet and hide at their office desk doing things on computers all day.
7) An office affair is always taking place, the larger the company the more affairs there are.
8) There will be office politics.
9) For every IT person that hides at their office desk, at least at one of them will hate a person who works in the sales office and maybe even all of them.
10) Looking up from your office desk in horror when your boss sneaks up behind you.
