Everyone will have their good and bad days in the office and even a few mornings where they feel that they do not want to be making their way into the office that particular day. Their office desk and workstation is the last thing they want to see for a while. The majority of people will work through this and continue through the stresses and nagging doubts they feel towards their current work situation and wait for the ‘bad patch’ to pass.
However, if every weekend sees you reflecting on your work situation and getting a feeling of dread as Monday morning arrives, which continues for weeks and even months of you not sleeping properly and dreading every day you sit in that office chair. Should you continue, you will make yourself quite unhappy and possibly ill through stress if nothing else; sometimes it’s just time to move on.
Have you been promoted recently? Has your salary increased? Do you have a future at the firm? Does it seem that every day is just another boring or stressful reflection of another?
Most of us spend at least 8 hours a day in our office chairs at work and it is important that you have a job that stimulates and excites you; one that will ensure you can grow with your career and status whilst developing your skill sets.
So if you are dreading every day at the office and your office desk over the years has ended up doubling as a storage area then you need to start thinking about your future as personal wellbeing, stimulation and learning is extremely important.
