Don’t Let Yourself Get Floored

It is common knowledge that first impressions count and if your potential clients and business associates are put off by the look of your office, then you may find it hard to grow your business. If you don’t want to get knocked out too early in the game then try to ensure that your office is a welcoming and professional looking space.

Most people who decide to refurbish their offices pay a great deal of attention to colour schemes, paintings to go on the walls and attractive but appropriate office furniture. You might think that these people never bother to look at anything below knee height, if their flooring is anything to go by.

Updating your office and investing in new furniture is not enough to impress outsiders with your professionalism. While your visitors may note that the office looks better, they may change their mind when they look down. All too often the one thing that gets forgotten during office refurbishments is the flooring. Worn and scuffed lino tiles, unsealed wooden floors, or worn carpets will not impress. Sorting out your flooring during an office refurbishment has the same effect as polishing your shoes when you go for an interview – people notice, and it goes in your favour.

You can even get hard floor chair mats, which make it easy for users to move around their office spaces.
