Certainly your employees need to feel comfortable when they come to work and they are more likely to be productive if their needs are met. However, if you are to operate at your full potential also then you also need to have a comfortable and efficient space in which to work.
One of the most important pieces of office furniture, whether you are a manager or an employee, is the chair that you sit on all day. When you are sitting for long periods it is all too easy to become stiff and develop aches in all sorts of places; in order to reduce the strain on your back and arms you need the right sort of office chair.
If you decide that what you want in your office is the traditional executive chair then go ahead. Executive chairs are very often made of leather and give plenty of support to your back. If possible get an executive chair that also has arms as these can help to reduce the strain on your hands and wrists that comes from the repetitive movements that are involved in operating a computer.
